Jesus, speaking to the disciples in Matt 17:21 says: "Howbeit, this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting".
This implies that certain ugly situations cannot give way if fasting is not embarked on.
Hence, we in GTCC fast:
1) Every last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the month.
2) Three days in mid December yearly.
3) 11th - 31st of January annually 
4) Also, whenever the need arises to counter all evil works in the lives of God's people.

Life and death the Bible in Prov 18:21 says are in the power of the tongue. This highly prophetic program is where we come together to thank the Lord for the previous month and to prophetically speak into the new month.
